Coded and verified was a tough act

Antara didn't like introductory sessions, prep courses, even counselling of any kind. She disliked the beginning of anything, where fresh-faced enthusiasm was abundant.

As a result, her first job as a reporter in Kolkata was the only one she had felt comfortable with. Elderly employees, looking harassed and disenchanted. An overall Communist milieu so known hazards.

The world's problems remained the same, inequity and human misery, and those who glossed it over usually had an agenda.

In Antara's case, everyone usually wanted her out of sight before changes were introduced. Her school introduced computers the year Antara left, same at her college, her employers often delayed appraisals till Antara had resigned, the last workplace had delayed the office's annual party so that Antara couldn't attend it, the party was announced on the day Antara quit.

Thus, an elderly gentleman filled with enthusiasm about bringing far-reaching changes that late in his life and the forever vexed Antara had different things in mind when they talked of the United States.

ii. Most men tended to assume that Antara's real WWII challenge would be the code-breakers, it was apparently known that the legit lease had no agent or source of information within. The Prussians delighted at the prospect, thinking the lease family's US Navy problems had shut it out of Bletchley Park.

Even if Antara had a way of collecting information on code-breakers, she would have avoided it. This was WWII-era atomic weaponry we were talking about, the British had nothing left of their existence but that information. A lease family trapped by Indian royals over a House, Antara herself a hostage, any code-breaking allusions work would instantly lead to a scripted reaction from world leaders.

Those supposed 'minders? They'd immediately disappear. The recipients of her emails? They'd block her or insist they used other email ids.

Only Jha would loom large over the horizon, alleging that he always knew Antara had interest in sensitive matters.  You had to be in that newsroom to understand how nasty and demented it got as the years passed.

iii. You might ask, at the risk of Trump and other world leaders who were accepting of him, wasn't Antara curious to know what went on around her? She was qualified enough on the lease, she wouldn't look anxious in a foreign land given the anxiety levels in Delhi, the Indian subcontinent's military tensions have come forth and yet all around, giggling and amused Indians were talking in low voices and winking at each other?

Antara was close to getting her answers. She had suspected that Indian females loved their friends and relatives, they loved 'chain letters' and 'chain emails', and they never cared where those links or chains led. As she recently wrote, it often led to Middle Eastern and Central Asian warmongers and arms dealers.

No, thank you very much, let Indians giggle as much as they wanted to, those know-it-alls.

iv. However, introductory sessions were not the same as introductory lessons in intelligence, what Antara was traversing. Antara's work suggested that Maurice 'Mois' Fuchs (sonderkommado Auschwitz) had suspected that BT had walked into a trap not merely 'prepared' by Indian royals but that Dhaka had used OSS officials to create that House as well.

Was Antara challenging, with extensive knowledge about AAP and DC? Then the other side would be the legit lease, with little information and not knowing how to go about things.

There was Aam Aadmi Party extravaganza all over Delhi. Antara was asked to focus on it rather than on her former school. Was it possible to ...
